The below list outlines some of the acceptable items for you to see if you can turn your junk into cash!  If you do not see an item on either list or have any questions, please scroll to the bottom of this page and contact your local Madison Salvage & Recycling office.

Acceptable Items:

  • Scrap Automobiles and Trucks
  • Industrial Scrap
  • Scrap Farm Machinery
  • Light Iron & Appliances (no freon)
  • Cast Iron
  • Plate and Structural Scrap
  • Copper
  • Brass
  • Aluminum and Irony Aluminum
  • Batteries
  • Air Conditioners (freon must be drained)

What We Do Not Accept:

  • Non-metallics (dirt, rubber, concrete, liquids)
  • Closed containers
  • Propane bottles
  • Items containing PCBs or CFCs
  • Camper/RVs
  • Microwaves
  • Loose oil filters
  • Any hazardous material
  • Electronics
  • Aluminum Cans
